BEING BLACK IN STAFFORD
With the Black Lives Matter moving catching more momentum, new supporters have bloomed overnight creating the amazing online voice, protests, donations and more that we're seeing.
In response we've also seen a lot of, "Not me", "Not here", "Not anymore" in response to racism. The truth is, racism isn't always obvious, it isn't always openly shared by BIPOC who have faced it, and runs deep throughout all of America.
As a response to someone saying that racism didn't exist in Stafford, a local black woman, Chyna, called on others to share just one story of a time they faced racism in Stafford, VA. Upon reading these stories, I knew they couldn't just exist in the comments. They needed to be heard. Hear their stories.
